Being a beginning writer, I listened to and followed this advice, accepting it as solid gold. Quite frankly, between you &amp; me, it is a pile of bull.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m an out of the box writer &amp; I say writing for free or love is a YES-YES. In the event you&#8217;ve fallen out of the routine of writing, this may prime your pump, so to speak. We will get those squeaky wheels spinning, apply some oil (writing), &amp; before you are aware of it, you will be moving along in no time at all.</p>
<p>Now i&#8217;m not advising that you should write for free forever. What I&#8217;m saying is that on occasion we tend to fail to remember the enjoyment we once experienced when writing from our hearts.</p>
<p>I believe all writing, regardless of whether you&#8217;re writing at no cost or writing for money, is all fine. I also think you may need a solid measure of both. Should you write for pay, then you will know how taxing &amp; exhausting the entire process is. It gets very overwhelming at times. Writing because of the sheer love of writing enables you to be inventive &amp; write what you are passionate about.</p>

Obviously, just as these foods do elsewhere, in a Japanese diet they encourage blood sugar fluctuations and increased body fat.</p>
<p>Sometimes people consider how slim and healthy the Japanese are, and make the mistaken assumption that if they just eat as though they were Japanese too they will become similarly slim and healthy. This is wrong. The Japanese seem to be genetically gifted with the ability to metabolize carbohydrates very well. If you are not Japanese, or do not have this same metabolic ability, following a carb-heavy Japanese style diet will likely lead to obesity and ill health!</p>
<p>Instead of modeling the Japanese diet completely, why not pick and choose? Take the healthiest bits and incorporate those into a balanced overall eating plan. <p>No one knows exactly when Yoga began, but it certainly predates written history. Many hand-carved figures in Yoga positions were excavated out of the Indus Valley. These figures date back at least 5,000 years, some more so! People tend to make the mistake that Yoga was created as a result of Hindusim; in truth, Hinduism was developed much, much later. Once it was developed, it went on to incorporate some of Yoga&#8217;s practices.</p>
<p>Traditionally, Yoga and its teachings have been passed down from teacher to student solely orally and through demonstration. The many techniques that encompass Yoga are based on the collective knowledge and experience of many, many teachers over the course of several thousand years.</p>
<p>The first book known to have been written on the subject of Yoga is the Yoga Sutras, written by the scholar Patanjali in the late B.C. or early A.D. period. His book incorporated all of the traditions and practices of Yoga as they were known in his time. The system that he wrote about is known as &#8220;Ashtanga Yoga,&#8221; or the eight limbs of Yoga, and this is what is generally referred to today as Classical Yoga. Most current participants in Yoga today practice some form of Patanjali&#8217;s system.</p>
<p>As evidenced by the name, Classical Yoga has eight steps to it:</p>
<p>1. yama, which means &#8220;restraint&#8221;. Individuals should refrain from lying, stealing, casual sex, hoarding, and unnecessary violence.</p>
<p>2. niyama, meaning &#8220;observance&#8221; &#8211; purity, contentment, tolerance, study, and remembrance.</p>
<p>3. asana, which means the physical exercises you should routinely do.</p>
<p>4. pranayama, the use of breathing techniques.</p>
<p>5. pratyahara, which refers to the preparation for meditation.</p>
<p>6. dharana, the ability to concentrate the mind on a specific object for a set amount of time.</p>
<p>7. dhyana, meditation, the ability to focus on one thing (or nothing) indefinitely.</p>
<p>8. samadhi, absorption, or realization of the essential nature of the self.</p>
<p>Steps 3, 4, and 5 are the usual focus of modern western classes.</p>
<p>Yoga probably arrived in the United States in the late 1800s, but it did not become widely known until the 1960s, as part of the youth culture&#8217;s growing interest in anything Eastern. Yoga eventually gained acceptance as a great means of reducing stress and improving health as its beneficial effects became widely known.</p>
